Montreal's Bad Flirt are a new obsession of mine. I came across their myspace page via stillepost Montreal (looking for shizz to do while in town for Arcade Fire), and instantly fell in love with their tunes. Bad Flirt is the product of Jasamine White-Gluz not wanting to be a lonely solo indie artist anymore, and wanting to put together a gang of merrymakers to roll with. Their tunes are a blend of indie-rock and shoegazer (sweet sweet crashing guitars) while a heavy dose of pop is mixed in for our dancing pleasure. They are hunkering down in March to record their debut album at Hotel2Tango, with producer Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Basia Bulat and Godspeed You? Black Emperor).
Bad Flirt have two shows on the horizon, the dates are:
