OUR TIME TO BE HATED

YYY's!!!! April 10th!!! Kool Haus!!!

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (March 1st) here.
Tickets are $27.00 (PRICEY $$$)
Doors: 8pm
Headlining Set: 10:30pm

Anyone else sampled Show Your Bones (yup, it leaked)??? It's incredible, a lot more focused and mature, less screaming (sadly). Karen sings a lot more, think Y Control and Maps and Nick's guitars are spellbinding as usual. Streetdate is March 28, 2006. I'm sure it won't disappoint.

Check out their new video for Gold Lion here.

I Still Love The Light On Baby

Editors (the young Interpol) have confirmed a Toronto show at the Phoenix for March 24, 2006. It's a double bill with NYC hipsters Stellastarr*, who I caught at the El Mo in 2003 and was blown away by their live show. Oh, and its an early show. Tickets are available here right now through Editors pre-sale. General on-sale is saturday through Ticketmaster. But back to Stellastarr, their most recent release Harmonies For The Haunted has been largely over-looked. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it's a really solid record.

Reasons to see Editors live:
Brooklyn Vegan liked their debut NYC show
Scott is a convert.

What's up with Voxtrot tickets? They show has been scheduled for ever and no one has any ticket info as of yet? The show is happening on April 13, 2006 at Sneaky Dee's. Anyone know was going on?

MSTRKRFT I S THE N E W HOT S H I T!!!

DFA Records' James Murphy must be super pissed off at Jesse F. Keeler. First, Keeler and his fellow bandmate Sebastien Grainger copy his production team/label's name, Death From Above. Then they take the DFA name, tack on 1979 and gain worldwide attention with their hipster shaking album You're A Woman, I'm A Machine. And now Keeler has become the go-to guy for hot as shit remixes (a position that Mr. Murphy use to hold until he lost the plot and started producing crap). MSTRKRFT (pronounced Master Kraft) is the product of an eight year friendship between Keeler and AL-P, an established house DJ and ex-member of girlsareshort (an electro-pop band). The duo have been pumping out tons of amazing remixes of songs by the likes of Annie, Metric, The Panthers, The Kills and Bloc Party and are currently working with Wolfmother, The Gossip and Test Icicles. The duo are also hard at work on their debut album, titled The Looks which is being released by Last Gang Records on May 16, 2006. The boys have just released their first single Easy Love, which is incredible and will likely make all the pretty girls dance.

***UPDATE*** Tickets for their show on March 4th are still available at Rotate.

Download MSTRKFT's new single Easy Love. Throw on iPod, dance, repeat.

There is some confusion over the Toronto date. Brooklyn Vegan has posted about the tour, but has the Toronto show's venue listed as Ricoh Coliseum. Pre-sale ticket will be made available on Tuesday, February 7 at 1:00PM local time through Artist Arena. Scoop them up quick. DCFC's last stop at the Haus saw tickets being sold outside the venue for $150!!!
